After growing bored with white paper I experimented with using alternative backgrounds:

Soon I realized I wanted the quality of the Stonehenge Paper, but something other than white.  I began to experiment with staining the paper with tea:

Then I soaked the Stonehenge Paper in Kool Aid for a series of drawings based on La Vita Nuova by Dante:

Numbered series of 12 completed in Spring of 2002

Sizes range from 4" to 16"
